Children's Privacy Notice

This is the notice that matters most on this site. Our product is used at children’s birthday parties, so children’s names pass through it. Here is exactly how we handle that, in the plainest words we can manage.

We never collect anything from a child

Every field in this product is filled in by an adult. There is no sign-up for a child, no account for a child, no email to a child, and no advertising anywhere a child can see. The console asks for a display name on the TV; that name is shown on a leaderboard, is never linked to any account, and is deleted with the event.

Your own child’s details

You give us your child’s first name and age so the games and the invitation can say it. If you buy personalisation you may add a photograph. That is used for your party and nothing else — not for marketing, not for training anything, not for any other customer. You can delete it at any time.

Guests’ children

When a guest parent RSVPs, they may enter their children’s first names so you know who is coming, and an allergy note so you can feed them safely. We hold that for you, the host — we are handling it on your behalf, not building a list of our own. We ask for first names only, we never ask a guest’s child anything directly, and we purge all of it 30 days after the party.

The birthday question

After a guest parent RSVPs, we may ask — optionally, once, of the parent — when their own child’s birthday is, so we can offer them a free invitation site nearer the time. It is never required, it is never asked of a child, the reason is stated on the form, and one click opts out permanently. It is the most carefully handled field in the product, and if it ever stops feeling that way we will remove it.

Never, on any guest-facing page

• Advertising, of any kind, at any tier.
• Third-party tracking pixels or analytics.
• Pop-ups, email gates, or an account requirement to RSVP.
• Any collection of data from a child.
• Sale or sharing of children’s data — including in an acquisition.

Deleting it

As a host, deleting your party removes every guest’s RSVP with it. As a guest parent, write to help@bashcade.com and we will remove your response and your children’s names from the host’s list — we do not ask why, and we do not need an account to do it.
